Created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Half Cab, this size? exclusive reimagined the iconic silhouette through two equally iconic forms of transport: the London black cab and New York yellow taxi.

Working closely with the size? team, I translated the concept through colour, materials and a series of details inspired by each city. The New York version combined hairy yellow suede with checkerboard, while the London shoe used tonal black suede and textile with orange accents referencing the illuminated taxi sign.

The storytelling continued into the smaller details: licence-plate-inspired heel scabs matched the colours used by each city, translucent outsoles revealed “Off Duty” graphics, and the footbeds featured maps of London and New York. Reflective elements added another reference to the visual language of taxis and city streets.
