One Block Down × Vans Rowley collaboration reimagined one of Vans’ most iconic skate shoes through the lens of the Milan-based retailer. Working directly with the One Block Down team, I developed the footwear, translating their creative vision into a product while exploring the limits of what could be achieved through Vans’ manufacturing processes.

The collaboration was driven by a shared ambition to push the level of detail and craftsmanship beyond a typical inline product. Throughout development, One Block Down challenged us to explore new constructions, materials and finishing techniques, resulting in a shoe that celebrated both the heritage of the Rowley and the obsessive attention to detail that defines the retailer’s approach.

The project demonstrated how close collaboration between designer and partner can elevate a product, balancing innovation with authenticity while remaining true to the DNA of the original Rowley.
