For this collaboration with Pop Trading Company, we looked back to the simplicity of ’90s Vans skateboarding, reworking three silhouettes with a direct connection to that era: the Style 36, Half Cab and Salman Agah pro shoe.

Working closely with the Pop team, I helped translate their vision across the footwear, using a restrained material palette of raw suede, nylon and leather that reflected Pop’s understated approach to skate product. Subtle Pop Trading Company stamps at the heel tied the three different silhouettes together as a collection.
The project also gave us the opportunity to bring the Salman Agah, a largely forgotten Vans skate model, back from the archive, placing it alongside the Half Cab and Style 36 as a celebration of the footwear Pop’s founders grew up skating in.
