The Our Legacy WORK SHOP × Vans collaboration was built around the WORK SHOP philosophy of repurposing existing materials. Working closely with the Our Legacy team, we explored the factory’s available deadstock, eventually selecting a premium deadstock suede and organic cotton canvas as the foundation for the project.

During development, we experimented with several silhouettes and details, including Era and Chukka concepts with debossed branding, before stripping the idea back to a more understated Sk8-Mid LX. The final shoe allowed the materials to lead, combining the natural “Hummus” palette with a white leather side stripe and subtle embroidered Our Legacy WORK SHOP branding at the heel.

I led the footwear development from the initial material exploration through to the final product and also designed the accompanying packaging.
