The Lovenskate × Vans collaboration celebrated the DIY creativity that has connected the two brands within UK skateboarding for years. Rather than creating a finished graphic treatment, the idea was to give the wearer the tools to make the shoes their own.

Working with the Lovenskate team, we developed the footwear as a literal blank canvas, using heavyweight white canvas and all-white foxing to create a completely customisable surface. Each pair came with Sharpies, while the specially designed packaging unfolded to reveal stencils and a customisation guide, turning the product into an interactive creative experience.

The project captured something fundamental to both Lovenskate and Vans: participation over perfection, and encouraging people to create rather than simply consume.
