Loving Is Living was a collaboration between Vans and London-based label Life Is Unfair, celebrating friendship, craftsmanship and collector culture through a series of highly detailed Premium footwear styles. Working closely with the Life Is Unfair team, my role was to translate their creative vision into footwear while ensuring every detail could be realised in product.

The collection was built around thoughtful storytelling, with custom hardware, archival Vans references and hidden “easter egg” details rewarding long-time fans of the brand. From engraved heel studs and bespoke sockliners to heritage-inspired construction and custom packaging, every element was considered as part of a cohesive narrative that balanced the identity of both brands.

Working collaboratively throughout the design process, I developed the footwear and helped bring the collection from concept to production, preserving the character and craftsmanship that defined the project while creating products that felt authentic to both Life Is Unfair and Vans.
